Everyone needs to have those moments where you can just sit back, relax, and think about nothing. So, aside from sitting there, staring at the wall, trying to meditate for thirty minutes and getting distracted by a random thought or by looking at your phone fifty times, try listening to some soothing music. I know most people will argue that listing to music is NOT relaxing and WON’T mellow you out, however, you clearly haven’t been listening to the right music! Listed below are ten songs that I personally listen to, to mellow me out!
- West Coast by Lana Del Rey
I don’t know what it is about this song. Perhaps it’s her amazing voice, the soft and hypnotic melody, or just the lyrics itself. This song always tends to calm me down and put me in a better mood.
2. Cardiac Arrest by Bad Suns
From the second I heard this song, it’s brought me nothing but happiness!
3. California Dreamin by The Mama’s and The Papa’s
What’s not to love about this song?
4. Eyes On Fire by Blue Foundation
Since the original Twilight movie until now, this song has always been great!
5. Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey
She’s just a God, I’m sorry.
6. Don’t Let Me Down by The Beatles
Some may disagree with this song thinking it’s depressing or may have to much content to think about. However, the beat itself creates a great constant rhythm that is far from a distraction!
7. Desperado by The Eagles.
I’ve been sang this song since I was a child so it was bound to be on this list! It always a great distraction.
8. Waterfalls by TLC
No explanation needed.
9. Hooked On A Feeling by Blue Swede
If you have seen Guardians Of The Galaxy, you know how hooking this is.
10. Time Of The Season by The Zombies
How can you not relax to this?
This is just a snippet of songs to listen to, to help you cool off and relax. While some of you may disagree with some of the songs that are up, this my personal list, everyone has a different playlist to ‘chill-out’ to. So what’s on your list? Anything similar to mine?
