What To Do This Winter Break!

So if you’re like most of us, finals and other exams are over and now you’re on winter break! Yay! Finally! But now here comes the big question. What should you do during winter break? Well don’t you worry, we have quite a few suggestions!

  • Sleep!

Yes, it sounds cliche but you’ve just had a challenging semester and now you need some downtime. Pulling all-nighters for finals more than likely has worn you out and now your body needs some time to recuperate. A few days of non-stop sleep should do the trick- or it may cause you to feel even more tired but let’s hope not! We’re being positive here!

  • Go Shopping

You’re on holiday break! Go buy yourself something nice! Something you promised you wouldn’t reward yourself with until after finals (I got pie)!

  • Get A Job

It’s the holiday time so maybe you’ll want some extra money to buy some gifts for your loved ones. A lot of stores need extra help around the busy holiday time. I mean besides…look at how happy this girl looks above!

  • Travel!

I bet you were wondering when this would turn up on the list. You don’t even have to travel far! Take a road trip with some friends if you want to, just make sure you go somewhere fun.

  • Spend Time With Friends and Family-

Go visit your family and friends and plan fun things to do together! You haven’t seen them in a few months! Go out and have some laughs!

  • Explore!

Go find all the sights near to you and discover new things. Maybe you can go ice-skating at a rink near you or just go to the beach and relax. Just do something you don’t always do.

  • Read Up On Material For The New Semester

Before you say how boring it is, think how cool it would be to get a head start before the new semester starts. Or maybe I’m the only one who thinks that’s cool. I’m proud to embrace this nerdy life.

  • Pamper Yourself

Yes you read that right! Go to the spa, take an extra long hot bath. Do whatever you need to do to feel relaxed and free.

  • Learn Something New

I always look at breaks as a time to do something different and one thing I love doing is learning something new. This break I’m going to attempt to learn basic programming so you can do something you find interesting and have always wanted to know more about.

  • Read Books

You don’t have to spend money to enjoy your break. Reading a good book is like taking a vacation anyway. If you don’t own any hard copy books, don’t worry. There are thousands of pdf books online. You just have to find them.

And finally:

  • 11. Do Nothing!

For your winter break, you can decide to do absolutely nothing. You can just sit down and stare at a blank wall if you want! We won’t judge you! (But that’s not a recommendation to stare at a blank wall).

If you have any other suggestions as to how to spend winter break, leave them in the comments below! Happy Holidays!
